			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>Most people that know me know that I have lots of energy. I tend to be in the ‘zone’ most of the time and I get a lot done during my waking hours. I get a lot done in my sleep as well, but that’s another story.<br />
You may be interested in a theory out there that states we only get 28 percent of our energy from the food we eat. The other 72 percent comes from invisible energy around us. <span id="more-24"></span>That brings up some puzzling questions for those of you that experience fatigue at one time or another. There are those who neither eat nor drink and spend days, weeks and months in meditation. That knocks out the 28 percent theory.  Most people tend to collapse at the end of the week and try to rest and relax on the weekend, only to crawl begrudgingly out of bed on Monday morning to do ‘it’ all over again. Those people tend to eat three meals a day with snacks in between. What a life!<br />
There is a small segment of the population that realizes everything is energy. They see in their mind’s eye how it should work but they don’t know how to do it. The story of Buddha Boy above shows us the answer. He has neither eaten nor drank for a period of 8 months before the film crew arrived.<br />
Everyone has an energy field around them. Within that energy field are sub-fields. All of those fields are fed by little capillary-like tubes called nadis. These fine tubes bring light energy or prana to you. They feed you and nourish your body, but only to the extent that you are clear. If you are energetically clear and in a place of non-attachment, you could probably be like Buddha Boy or any of the other saint-like people who don’t eat or drink. I’m not saying that you need to stop eating or drinking. I’m saying that if your nadis  are clogged or partially clogged,  the energy you do have will be restricted. No matter how much you eat or drink, you will not have more energy. I’ll repeat it again, your energy production is directly related to how clear you are.<br />
Many things affect your clarity and how your energy flows…or doesn’t. The biggest one is probably  the amount of karmic sediment in the fields within your field. The analogy is like driving a car around the city. It eventually gets dirty. Unless you clean it regularly,  change the oil, and do regular maintenance, it’s not going to work as efficiently as it could. The problem with most people is that their awareness tells them that what is going on with them is ‘normal’ so there is no motivation to fix something that is not perceived as broken.  When I tell people how many years it took me to get where I am, most people are not interested in a long process. They want instant gratification. You can see an expert “healer” who can remove karmic sediment and the process will certainly go faster if you can learn some effective skills to help in the process.<br />
Another other important factor in your energy regulation is what comes out of your mind and your mouth. Your thoughts are energy. If you keep thinking about all the things that could go wrong and how unjust your life is, the busyness of your mind clogs your energy. You need to quiet the mind so that the phone line to your upper floor is clear and open. Meditation is great for that. Again, you can learn to meditate from someone who is an experienced teacher.<br />
Another piece of the puzzle is the type of food that you eat. Clean whole foods are best. Clean means free of chemicals and pesticides, in other words, organically grown. Animal proteins and sugars are the greatest downers for your energy. Sometimes you do need to get to the meat of the issue. That is what meat is good for on occasion. If you eat the right foods, there is more than enough protein for your body’s requirements. Your mind may not be satisfied but your body will be just fine.<br />
Sugar is actually a poison for your energy. It drags you down and creates attachments and addictive behaviors that are not good for you. You can be so controlled by them  that they can literally consume you. Sugar addictions are actually a sign of mineral deficiency, particularly chromium. I take a liquid ionic mineral supplement called Concentrace. I buy it at a health food store and put a few drops in my drinking water.<br />
Which brings me to the final piece of the energy puzzle, water. Not just any water will do. Alkaline, ionized water supports your energy more in chakras 4,5 and 6, which are heart, throat and brow. If you look at a pH chart and a chakra chart, you will see that the colors are very close. Alkaline, ionized water resonates more with your upper energy, giving you greater calmness, more insight, less symptoms, greater energy and a greater feeling of connectedness to yourself. A lot of body aches and pains are rooted in an emotional cause. It doesn’t matter if you fall and sprain your ankle or wake up with a sore neck. An emotional hit at some point in that area, weakened your energy and perhaps even deposited some sediment there which has translated into what appears to be body pain.<br />
Tap and bottles water all resonate at lower frequencies. There are characteristics to the water which are not in harmony with how your body efficiently uses the wet stuff. Some of them have harmful by-products in them, some are very acidic and some are actually polluted. It’s a sad testament to our society that our water is not as safe to drink as our government tells us. Big water companies tell us that bottled water is the best of all, but it is not. In Europe, reverse osmosis water which is in most brands of bottled and barreled water here, has a skull and cross-bones on it. It is banned. That alone should tell you something.<br />
Alkaline, ionized water comes from a machine that you hook up to your kitchen tap. The machine does all of the work and you reap all of the benefits, including a rise in your energy and your vibration…nice! Now you can do Mondays, too.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>In most people, urine is very acidic. It is the body’s way of getting rid of excess acids in the body from the metabolism of food and other lifestyle choices. When the little engines in the cells called mitochondria fire to provide us with energy, they give off little puffs of metabolic exhaust, which is very acid. The urine is the body’s way of getting rid of it. Unfortunately, if the body is dehydrated, it becomes harder and harder for these acids to be eliminated.<span id="more-14"></span></p>
<p>Normally we don’t pay attention to our bladder until we get a signal that we need to empty it. We don’t know what’s in our urine or how acid or neutral it is, we just want to get rid of it. But according to recent statistics approximately 700,000 Americans and a proportionate number of Canadians have an inflammatory condition called interstitial cystitis. 90 per cent of sufferers are women, who are Caucasian and pre-menopausal. Interstitial Cystitis is more common in people in their 40’s.It is caused when the urine is very acidic and causes irritation and inflammation inside the bladder. The bladder becomes painful and it feels like the bladder needs to empty more often than is normal, sometime upwards of 15 times per day.<br />
The process starts because the body condition is way more acidic than the normal neutral state that the body is accustomed to. The body tries to remove the acids from itself and uses what available water it has to reduce its acidic load. The normal protective coating inside the bladder becomes too thin from acidic wear and urine seeps through what is left of this coating to activate an irritation/inflammation response. Because the body is short of water to begin with, histamines are produced which stimulates leukotriene and prostaglandin production. In women, nerves in and around the bladder seem to be more sensitive to the irritation and are more easily stimulated than in men, and women are more likely to “feel” pain. Alcohol, spicy foods, artificial sweeteners and smoking, all of which are acid-forming in the body, can make IC worse.</p>
<p>IC is an unpleasant side effect of too much acid-forming foods, stress, acidic drinking water and other life style choices. Acid forming foods are usually a problem if they are not balanced with alkaline-forming foods and lifestyle choices. Some dinner plates don’t see green vegetables often enough or in sufficient quantities. For a list of acidic/alkaline foods, ask for our Food List.<br />
Stress is one of the worst acidifiers to the body next to food. There are many ways to bust stress that actually don’t cost anything: deep breathing, meditating, walking, exercising and alkalizing your body. For deep rooted stress, sometimes a round of energy therapy or counseling sessions can help. It may be money issues or even a boss that just seems to have it “out” for you. Pressure from these life situations are what we feel as stress.<br />
Some areas are blessed with alkaline tap water, but most tap waters are contaminated with chlorine and in some instances fluoride. Chlorine is toxic to the body over time and is especially unsuitable for children. Fluoride is what they use to kill rats and what they used to use in concentration camps to keep the inmates docile. A lot of tap water is acidic in pH and contributes to the acidic load in the body. Over time, this causes other chronic and age-related conditions besides IC. Bottled water is mostly acidic tap water, put through a reverse-osmosis process which makes the water even more acidic and very “hungry.” An acidic water that you drink will begin to leach minerals from your bones, organs and teeth and can, over time, create mineral depleting diseases like diabetes, osteoporosis, heart conditions, dementia or even cognitive dysfunction. You can’t find your glasses so you can find your car keys.</p>
<p>Lifestyle choices include such things as smoking, drinking alcohol, using recreational drugs, marathon running, ironman competitions and even going to the fast food take-out for lunch because it’s cheap and convenient. These all create enormous amounts of acidic buildups in the body and over time will take their toll.<br />
So, now that we’ve pointed out possible causes for IC, what do you do about it? It is now obvious to most people that taking pills will only mask the symptoms and really won’t do anything to heal the bladder so that it will function normally. If you remember from your high school chemistry, bases neutralize acids, so you need to shift your inner terrain to a more neutral or slightly alkaline state. To do that in a way that is safe for the body, you don’t want to take sodium bicarbonate or baking soda. It impairs the function of your digestive system, starting at the stomach and could compromise your immune system.</p>
<p>To start with, an acidic body condition usually results from dehydration. If there was adequate water, the acidic condition would be much less. The water would enable the osmotic pumps in the cell walls to flush out the toxins more efficiently. So the first thing you need to do is drink much more water than you are now.<br />
The next thing you need to do is alkalize your body. You could start by eating much more raw green food in the form of juice and salads. You could include smoothies as long as they are made mostly with green vegetables and no sugar. Vegetables are needed for a healthy body and a wide variety of raw and cooked vegetables are important to eat several times a day.</p>
<p>Scientists and Oncologists have found that shifting the body’s acidic terrain is not always easy or fast with diet alone. Some people with serious, aggressive disease do not have the 6 to 18 months it takes to shift the body pH with diet alone. One of the leading edge Oncologists in the US has found that by adding alkaline, ionized water to a predominantly vegetable diet, the body pH begins to shift within a week. Once that happens and the person can maintain the level of pH required, symptoms within the body begin to change. Since IC is a “water” disease, drinking alkaline, ionized water makes perfect sense.</p>
